The precept is that element of your Council Tax that is paid to Steeton with Eastburn Parish Council.

Every year, the Parish Council draws up budgets and calculates how much money it needs for the next financial year. These are usually finalised at the December or January Full Council meeting and then submitted to Bradford Metropolitan District Council.

The budget and precept for the financial year 2023 - 24 were agreed at a meeting of the Parish Council on 11 January 2023, where it was resolved that the precept amount to be requested was £86,504.00: based upon the Council Tax base of 1785 dwellings, this is an annual cost of £48.46 per Band D property.
